upstairs-gallery The Blue House, Brighton, Ontario

Upstairs Gallery

The gallery occupies the second floor of The Blue House.

The Upstairs GalleryLaunched in spring of 2012, the gallery showcases the work of seasoned artists as well as up-and-coming talents from the Bay of Quinte Region and beyond. With an abundance of natural light, this attractive space has been a hit with artists and art patrons. “We knew it would be successful, but were pleasantly surprised by the number of people visiting and their response. On average we’ve sold eight to ten paintings a month.”

Artwork changes each month when new featured artists are fêted with a wine & cheese reception.

Some of last year’s artists included Canadian oil and watercolour painters Lucy Manley, Kenneth Watson, Mary McEwan, Doug and Eilidh McBryde, stone carver Thomas Maracle, pencil realist Danielle Pearson, and painter Margaret McFetridge.
